Last updated: 29 August 2026

This statement applies to the Tofflo Android app (available on Google Play as “Tofflo: MTD Tax Returns”) and to this website, varyn.uk. Both are run by Varyn Ltd.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use Tofflo and varyn.uk. For example, that means you should be able to:

We have also designed the app to work with your device’s text size settings and with TalkBack, Android’s screen reader; testing with assistive technologies on a device is in progress and has not yet been completed.

We also make sure that colour is never the only way we communicate information, that you are always asked to explicitly confirm before anything is submitted to HMRC, and that navigation stays consistent throughout the app and website.

How accessible this app and website are

We know some parts of Tofflo and varyn.uk are not fully accessible. We are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard, for the reasons set out below.

Feedback and contact information

If you find any problems not listed on this page, or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

If you need information from us in a different format, such as large print or plain text, contact us at the email address above and we will do our best to help.

Enforcement procedure

Varyn Ltd is a private company, not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us, and the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) escalation route available for public sector services does not apply either.

If you are not happy with our response to a complaint, you can contact us again using the details above and we will review it further. For our website, we also aim to meet our obligations under the Equality Act 2010, which requires reasonable adjustments to be made for disabled people.
